Toronto is a huge urban city, true. Everyone knows “the six” is a sophisticated, multi-cultural and great nightlife destination for foodies and fun lovers. But, its also home to lots of parks and natural green spaces where you can see some serious fall colours transform from shades of green to bright orange, gold and vermillion. With less than an hour’s drive from the Windsor Arms Hotel you have High Park, Ramsdan Park, Edward’s Gardens, Wilcot Creek, Christie Pitts, and Evergreen Brick Works to name just a few. You can easily grab your camera and maybe a picnic lunch and go off for a few hours to enjoy some natural fall serenity. Its a great way to appreciate a different, less intense side of Toronto. And, if you feel like a longer drive there’s some really beautiful destinations with not only leaves but waterfalls, lakes cliffs and bluffs to visit just outside of the City. You might even want to schedule a massage for when you get back to cap off a wonderful day.
